Overview & Reviews
For 2004, a PT Dream Cruiser Series 3 "True Blue" model is available in limited production. Also, a 180-horsepower turbocharged engine will be available on the Limited and Touring Edition models. Additionally, a Chrome Accent Group is available for the Limited that includes various exterior accents (including a chrome fuel door), as well as metallic-finish pedals and shift knob.
- Distinctive styling inside and out, spacious cabin with multiconfigurable rear seats, smooth ride, spirited acceleration on turbo models, reasonable pricing.
- Acceleration can be sluggish with base engine, awkward seating position for shorter drivers, unimpressive fuel economy.

As good as ever - 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By conradb212 - June 2 - 10:00 amSwitched from my very reliable and fun 2002 base PT Cruiser to a 2004 turbo. Car is almost identical which means great looking, extremely practical. The Cruiser must be one of the greatest examples of a cool looking car that is also fun, fairly economical, comfortable, handy in traffic and to park because it is so short, and up to whatever task I throw at it. After mediocre experiences with earlier Chryslers, my 2002 was extremely well built (never had a single problem) and the new 2004 GT seems at the same level.

Fun, but ... - 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By Computerguru - May 1 - 5:36 amMy wife and I bought this car brand new, but it has had problems ever since and Chrysler refuses to cover them. Wheel bearings and control arm bushings went out at 36,700 miles, BEFORE the tires. It also has a stalling problem, that nobody seems to be able to figure out. I will not buy another Chrysler. Thats for sure..

I Rock this thing - 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By drivenitall80 - April 4 - 10:47 amK, so i bought this inferno red 2004 pt cruiser gt with a premium sound system a year ago for my gf when someone totaled her focus, then we broke up and i kept the car because i was making the payments. Well ive but a crap load of asome bumper stickers on it, these awsome momo TEN-S black wheels on it, had the windows tinted, and every friday night me and my frreinds pile up into it and we go out cruisin and clubbing, i <3 this thing, we crank up the radio and roll all the windows down, its so much fun, i call it a chrysler party cruiser, i even actually have vynl stickers tht say party cruiser, and the way i take turns and sometimes DRIFT youd think the body was gonna fly off the chasis.

Damn cute, powerful, and roomy!!! - 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By Jim Lawyer - March 19 - 2:00 amMy wife and I have done some fantastic trips in out PT. Crater Lake to the 5 freeway at 7am, I did 40 above the posted speed, 25 above curve speed. My wife never woke up!! We did our "loop" from home thru Big Bear, with her driving. She got so tired of hanging behind other cars that wouldnt use the turnouts that she got it to 105mph to pass! I wish I coulda seen the other drivers faces! One time, we were coming home down 395, the car passes 3- 5 cars (and big rigs) at a time like they were standing still. My wife and I are big people, and this little car fits us well. It has lots of room, a plus for travel, especially with a lot of luggage.

My New PT! - 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By Steffen - March 19 - 2:00 amI was interested in the PT Cruiser when it first came out, but decided to wait until the flurry died down a bit. I am glad that I did! Some of the added features make it a very special car. I recently took an extended driving trip, and was pleasantly surprised by the handling, the mileage, and the comfort for the long trip. I am having so much fun driving her, and love the looks I get when I go down the road!

This Cruiser Rocks! - 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By Penumbra77 - August 12 - 2:00 amGreat pickup with the turbo engine - Ive left a few Beemer drivers with their mouths hanging open on uphill freeway merges! Excellent use of interior space - I fit a 80 inch long bookcase in my Cruiser, no problem! Great legroom - even for larger, taller folks. I give it an "A" for excellent workmanship and I work in the Quality Assurance profession. Oh, and Ive met nice people since folks keep asking me questions about my car.
